in PS, i want to make a text box that will RESIZE the text on one line (not increase the spacing between letters) to fit the boundaries of the box. how can i do this?
i see this effect on mixtapes all the time. i can do it manually, but its never perfect and takes ages.
heres one mixtape i found that displayed the effect. i couldnt find a better example unfortunately.

so anyway, i would appreciate any help. there has to be a less manual way of doing it...

photo design takes a while, if u want it to look good, there is no easy way usually. All I can say, sorry.

damn... i thought there would be something automatic for this. there's a 'pagagraph' feature that 'limits' the text (you set the boundaries for the box) and puts spaces in between characters and words accordingly, and whatever you type goes right along to both sides.
i cant believe there isnt something that substitues [increase character spacing] for [increase character SIZE] to fit the box.

:fury:

Render the text, then use the 'Free Transform' feature.

thanks for trying to help militant (can i call u mili? sounds cool lol).
i figured out the best way of doing what i wanted was:

*make a textbox
*highlight each line of code seperately and increase font size until you do not see the entire line. then go back slowly until you find the font size that makes that particular line as big as the box.

if you want the lines to go up right underneath each other:
*rasterize the layer
*select each line seperately one at a time using the rectangular marquee tool. (press 'M')
*now after selecting, use the move tool (press 'V') and before moving the selected line up, hold SHIFT so it can only move in a straight line.

heres a quick one i made.

You can call me whatever you want, cos I'm funkaaaaay.

As Prince once said.

Glad you figured it out, the key to Photoshop is finding things that suit your own style and playing around with different filters and settings to get things exactly how you want 'em. Pisses me off when I see somebody make boring artwork in photoshop using obvious filters that haven't been customised at all.
