Time's 100 Most Influential People List Honors Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Prince and Elton John

Time released their annual list of the 100 Most Influential People, which honors those in a broad range of categories with the ability to affect the world in some capacity. Among those listed, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Prince, Lea Michele, Elton John and Simon Cowell all made the list. Here's a brief rundown on each artist:

- Lady Gaga, among other things, like being one of the biggest names in the entire entertainment biz, made waves earlier this year with her video for "Telephone."

- Taylor Swift won awards at every imagineable music awards event over the past year, and had a memorable cameo from Kanye West.

- Lea Michele is one of the main stars on Fox's breakout hit show Glee, which mixes musical performances with comedy that borders on dark.

- Prince is on the list for basically being Prince. Which is 100% justified.

- Legendary musician Elton John is commended on this list for always following his interests and causes, regardless of how unpopular they may be.

- Simon Cowell has a couple of shows on the TeeVee right now. American Idol and America's Got Talent. Ever heard of 'em? Oh yeah, X Factor is on the way as well.
