This is my thread

Anyone watching the Fallout series on Prime?

I tried playing the games a few times but it's just not my cup of tea. But I'm hearing a lot of good things about it. Walton Goggins is in it and I've enjoyed his stuff in the past. Really just the comedies he's been in.

This would be the first video game TV show I'd be watching and the other shows based on games have done pretty well, especially TLOU. I heard Halo season 2 made some big improvements too.

Didn't care for the 1st episode of Fallout, or the game. Unrealistic. Halo, Season 1 and 2 were both amazing.

I’ve been watching, err rather putting it on in the background for the past few days. It’s warm in Ohio recently so my attention span is low. Trying to enjoy the weather before it randomly decides to snow again.

Yeah, it's that fucky Midwestern weather. It's been in the 70s the past several days until this afternoon when it dropped to the low 60s and was windy and rainy. And it'll be like that for the rest of the week, according to the weather app.

Oh well.

Ha ha it was 36 here today

Our weather is shit. Our summer is usually like one afternoon and then it is done to the next year

I don't miss UK weather.

Actually, I kind of do. I do enjoy gloomy days with rain, they're my favorite. I do like a bit more variety though.

So this is a random question but what's something you bought in the last year, or two, that you didn't think much of at the time but now you use it daily and it's been a big change in your life?

Maybe a good quality water bottle, a fitness track, a new pair of shoes or article of clothing.

Anyone seen Baby Reindeer?

That shit is fucked up

I put it on one Friday night without reading the synopsis thinking it would be some lighthearted comedy. Imagine the shock I got.

People online are messaging and antagonizing the real “Martha”.

Just looked it up. Looks interesting.

This also reminded me that it has been a few years since there's been a show or documentary or movie that had a sudden surge in interest. Last I think was during COVID like with Tiger King and Squid Game and then various murder mystery docs.

Is it just me or have new comedies become more rare over the years? Maybe I don't see the trailers for them because I don't get ads nor watch live TV but where are the big, summer comedies flooding theaters this time of year? Forget theaters, not even streaming services seem to have them, or at least not in the same way they did 10+ years ago. Where are the Superbads and the Hangovers?
