It always felt strange and intimidating to just pack my bags and go to another country. I've been to other countries, but always with family. But I see girls just pack up and head to Bangkok or anywhere in Europe. Alone.

Can't do that. Or maybe I could but it feels like not only do you need to do a lot of planning beforehand, which is fine, but also everything needs to go as planned otherwise you'll be stuck in a foreign country. Miss the bus, finding hotel, not getting butt fucked behind a tapas place because you made the wrong turn.
 
what is the general atmosphere over in the US after the elections? it is very hard to get an accurate read on things through the media and being so far away in Australia.

He hasn't taken office yet but people have already said it's the end of the world. I fell for that once in 2012 with the Mayans. Not falling for it again.

Haha, it's one of the best experiences actually. It's been something I was trying to do regularly - just pack and go to a new far-away place every year. I'd say it's what created my strongest best experiences and memories. After you get used to where you are, the easiest way to get out of your comfort zone and at the same time have by far the highest amount of new experiences is to pack up and go far away and try to live there for a while, or just stay there for a month. It is much easier than it sounds. Just 6 months ago I was living my normal, happy life in Poland, now I'm living like an everyday person in Canada and only looking back you see how much the people who didn't do it are missing.

The easiest way to start off is to go to a different, but completely civilized country. You can go to Hong Kong, South Africa or Singapore for starters - it's very different but they speak English. If you want a level better go to Japan or Korea - super safe and nice but much less English spoken. Still an amazing experience and most likely you won't have any problems you wouldn't be able to solve - just get a local sim card when you arrive and you have uber, google and their maps to save your life. In the end most cities on earth are used to having tourists and you will always find good people trying to help you out.

Also, does Mike know the site still exists? Did he prepay for a million years or does he have his own server park? I know I shouldn't challenge fate, but I really want to know how the site is still up. It's non-typical and interesting.

I was reminiscing about the earlier days (for me) of SH. Before it went completely bare around 2006 or so. Not to sound like a hipster, but I was cracking anti-Muslim jokes way before it became cool the past few years. I got banned for it, actually. I had my "nigger!" phase too but I grew out of that later on. That was ignorant.

But now as I browse Reddit and other cesspools of trolls, I realized I was way ahead of my time. I was the Palm Pre to the BlackBerry or iPhone. :oops:

I peeped on his Facebook and all of his posts seem to be about "need a verse? Send me a message. I have the cheapest ones in the industry" or "need a beat for my new mixtape" with no likes, going years back.
 
I got a little payday when my company was acquired back in December. I figured this whole Trump transition would be pretty volatile so I stayed away from the market. Looking back, could've raked in thousands over the 3-month period.

Random side note: Bought Weeknd floor seats at a pre-sale for $140 each. ended up buying other seats so i had to get rid of the floor seats. Sold for $500 each. wtf.
