Well, the topic is a serious one too. So many people made career choices not knowing what this huge shift in demand was going to bring about and now you've got people that went to school to do something they love only to find out there's no opportunity for them in that field unless they are the very best.

I at least feel bad for them; I don't know what they could have done differently at the time with the knowledge they had then, but for those that truly went to school to learn and not to stamp their ticket to a guaranteed job, it's gotta suck. Not every student that's a communications major is some bimbo slut looking for an easy degree. Some really do enjoy broadcasting or journalism, etc.

But I guess our high school teachers did warn us that getting a job after college was gonna suck for our generation. Another teacher told us that most people "settled" for a business degree because it was easy, only to find out they were worthless unless they had a graduate degree, like an MBA.

I think everyone here is pretty settled in a career, or getting there in a field that isn't "doomed" but it's definitely a wake up call to me to make it through this medicine shit or else I'm gonna be cleaning lab equipment in a lab that cures cancer or some shit. And I just gotta sit idly by cleaning beakers. And that's best case scenario. I could be on the streets of Chicago sucking dick for Reese's cups.

I fell into my job. Didn't know what I wanted to do.

At the AC Milan Barca match. AC Milan won 2 nil and Barca might be going out to of the champions league soon. They can easily score 2 goals at home but damn it'd be nice if they didn't

There's a Chrome extension called Unfriend Finder. It'll let you know who defriends you, if you ever cared to know. Worth checking out. I clocked three people so far in the last week.

I just went through a bunch of links of greatest hits albums that have that song on it and they are all dead, it's weird lol. Sorry. Maybe try ripping it off of youtube if quality isn't a concern

Twitter has been fun more recently since I figured out who to follow and who not to follow. I used to follow a lot of sarcastic and parody accounts which kind of got old after a while considering a lot of their posts were vulgar. And I know that sounds funny coming from someone like me. But now when I focus my follows on users that share the same interests as me such as sports writers and maybe a few athletes and a couple of other blogs about electronics I've noticed that I get more information that way that I did anywhere else before.

I still don't tweet because I don't feel that anything I have to say is going to get picked up anybody else other than people who know me in real life and to understand my sense of humor. But I may start that up too if I find someone I can carry conversations with regarding special interests.

I have the same problem with twitter, instagram and google+. I don't know who to follow at all. I know I can get information and shit like that like you found from em but for instance, why follow engadget when I can just go to engadget's website ya know. Just shit like that, too many social sites that all do the same shit

Yeah, and for me I've found a nice balance between Facebook and Twitter and RSS news feeds. For topics I need intense coverage on, I use RSS to get all the articles. For stuff like breaking sports news, I usually find Facebook to get me all the big stories, so long as I check at least once a day.

For Twitter, I usually get the the rumors, stuff that's more foresight and has the potential to happen. I don't really do tech stuff on Twitter, unless you count something like Slickdeals and their announcement of big deals.
