you would be out doing great things and wouldn't have time for this board. .

By that logic, if you're out doing great things, you wouldn't have time to watch sports games, tv shows, take walks in parks, shop for clothes, a drink with a friend, phone conversations, playing a video game or anything else a person likes to do that's not "great." So that means Steve Jobs, who some say did great things, didn't do any of those things because doing great things and sometimes doing mundane things are incompatible. Like I don't have time to shell nuts because I'm doing great things.

If you have time to do any of the many things you do in life that aren't great, then you have time to be on the board. Unless you're on the board only because you're bored. Maybe you think like this because that's how it is for you and you're projecting onto the rest of us. But like Ristol said, many are here because they genuinely enjoy it and the different perspectives (about how there is no god).

Anyway, know this: if I ever mention a bimmer, I'm really calling your mother a whore.

I'm still freaking out about it listening to novelty Mets songs from '86. I went out and bought a Johan jersey and I'm wearing it to my daughter's birthday party later today. Since none of my teams have won it all in my lifetime, this qualifies as the most gratifying moment I've had as a sports fan. I luv sportz!

yeah, as with everything, it depends on who you're with. but when i say camping, i mean camping. like, tents, woods, nothing around but maybe some water that's too cold to swim in. i'm not talking about that mainstream camping where you rent a nice cabin, rent kayaks and off-roading vehicles and all that shit. i mean, that'd be fun but yeah.

I remember when Zambrano pitched his no-no. It was at Miller Park against the Astros because it was moved for weather or something. Sucked it couldn't have been at Wrigley.

Although I have to root against the White Sox, Mark Buehrle's no-no was in high school for me and his perfect game a few seasons back....I really respect the guy. The Sox actually have a good number of players I respected throughout their careers. Weird how I can't say the same for the Cubs. Frank Thomas, Buehrle, Konerko. Cubbies had their stars basically tell me to fuck off as they left town. Big Z, Sosa.... Wood might be the exception there. He was a good guy. Maddux played most of his games with the Braves, at least during his good years. Prior never quite panned out after the first few seasons and Nomar came to Chicago and did what he did best in Boston; get hurt. All the time.

Now I'm remember Ryan Dempster. I respect that guy. Until he tells us to fuck off next season for free agency.
