I haven't made a mix cd for the car since December. It's been a slow last few months. Also, I've been mostly bumping Q. The new mix in the cooker has 3 Jackie Chain songs. Like I said, it's been slow. Replay worthy songs:

Deleted close to a hundred people on Facebook today. I don't have a strict friendship policy like others. Some of my friends delete everyone who doesn't talk to them on the regular. If a person adds them, and the said person doesn't hit them up, the motherfucker is deleted. I'll keep a person around even if I'm not a big fan of him/her. For example, I kept one gay guy because he posts good electro songs (stereotypes work, man). I kept another because he posts intellectual stuff and I can depend on him for gay rights-related news. I kept a lot of republicans/conservatives just because I'm interested to hear their views. But they either don't want me to read their posts or are awfully quiet on the political front. I posted a Romney joke and one conservative girl liked it. It makes sense (no, really, it makes sense).

i mostly let people filter themselves out of my friends list. There have been some people that removed me and left me wondering "why?" I only add people that I think can handle my statuses and also so long as I know and trust them in real life. So when I post a status about the last shit I took, I assume the people I have been friends with since I got on Facebook almost four years ago don't get offended.

No one has defriended me because of Facebook and I felt hurt. One guy did end a friendship over Facebook by not only defriending me, but by blocking me. But it was a misunderstanding (on his part) because I didn't reply fast enough to a chat message he sent me. He's 28. And he wants to become a doctor. I pray for him. That he dies a slow and painful death.

Needless to say, he never 'fixed" it and it was no longer the same after that. Me and 10 other people no longer talk. #IndianKidProblems

For those that are wondering, I did deactivate Facebook close to a month ago. I don't miss it. Others seem to miss me, though. No phone calls or texts. But they'll be damned if they can't post something to my wall.

I have a friend who deactivated Facebook. He gets mad when he doesn't get invited to things. He expects a text. Dude, you're not that special (I think, and not say). It's a social expectation now that you're to use Facebook to invite your close and not so close friends to things. It's just too damn convenient.

She did this in front of a good number of people (friends) at our smokers' lounge, so I told her "go one step further...defriend me..hell, block me..you wouldn't be the first person to do it and you won't be the last."

Long story short, she never mentioned it again and we talk daily about other, more relevant things. But for once in my life I didn't give a fuck and let someone know about it, and the problem ended right there. I'm gonna do it more often now and see how long it takes for me to get to the wrong person and get hit.

I don't know anyone that plans events/outings via Facebook. Everything gets planned via phone-calls. I only have people on my FB that I have talked to more than once and have a certain comradery with. Shit, I have friend requests from distant family members and I still haven't accepted them, lol.
I have a friend that will add anyone for any reason. For instance, he added one of my friends despite never actually talking to him, else from a few comments on a status update I made. That why he has more than 900 "friends" - that being said, I bet maybe only 50 out of those people would help him move, or even give a shit if he died. lol.

I think its a privacy thing, apparently the 1 million photos they've put of their grandkids are sacred and they're scared perverts are gonna beat off over them.

I don't want it. I believe that it's for people who spend hours daily on Facebook and put shitloads of things on their walls and want to see that they haven't evolved much for the last few years. It wouldn't make any sense to me since I write about 1 or 2 posts a year and I have nothing from earlier years there, most months I do nothing there too. I think a wall is more than enough.

A lot of fundraisers and parties are organized using Facebook. One was planned about two Fridays ago in town. It was an "All Black" Party, where we had to wear all black and a hint of red. Dunno for what. But that was organized by a girl in class, who did not personally mention it to anyone in class. She just invited people from our school, as she was the host, or whatever. She basically got paid to throw a party at a club. I was off Facebook, but I heard from other people asking if I was going. But it seems as if that is the direction in which everything is going.

Once every single person has a smartphone and Facebook can incorporate itself into everyone's calendars and all, I think services like Facebook will be the norm for invites and all.
