That's why he's always talking about death. Dude was planning to die! It makes much more sense to me when I listen to songs on "2pacalypse now" like "Trapped" where Pac is talking about "another route WAY OUT to money and fame. I CHANGED my name PLAYED A DIFFERENT GAME. Tired of being trapped in this vicious cycle" and realise that this thing that Pac did in 1996 has been an on going desire or dream since many years back. That makes more sense to me than the bullshit that most of y'all come up with. In Pac's first verse, he gave what I've thought to be one of the best and most straight forward alive clues when he said :

Notice that Pac says "WAS I" in reference to the PAST(before death), then he says that "THEY WONDER IF I AM". Now, I want to point out something here. Pac did not say "They wondered if I WAS dead or alive". He saying NOW "they wonder if I AM dead or alive". But he had refered to himself in the Past at first when he said, "WAS I someone they despised?"
