It is the best show on TV...yet to watch Season 4 but has been great so far. :thumb:

lol. i'm in the beginning of season 3 right now.

i'll tell you something. whenever i went out and bought a new season of wire and started watching, some time had passed since i finished watching the last season. anyway, you don't really get the fever until after you've watched the first three or four episodes.

after you're done with the season, i assure you that you will be sold. then for every season you keep watching, it just gets better.

which brings me to the question, why the fuck was my thread closed and this opened instead? lol.

i saw the injustice that occurred in the other thread...so made my own :) season 3 is the best ive seen so far...you have a right treat ahead of you.

After seeing this thread and the other one by Preach, I watched the first episode season one. Isn't the greatest show ever...but definately watchable.

How can you judge a show by one episode?

I thought the reason for closing it was obvious Preach. I hate you.

Well so far it isn't the greatest show ever is pretty much what I'm trying to say. I'm going to continue watching this because like I said it's watchable and interesting as it's realistic...so I havn't completely bashed the show and going to boycott it. If the continuing episodes are shit then fuck all with this show...but from what I'm reading this shit gets good as it continues...so I'm looking forward to that.

basically, at first it's random things happening that seem to have nothing to do with eachother, but as the season progresses, things start to make sense and some knots start to tie together. i promise you, you have to watch a few sequential episodes before making up a real opinion about it. also, the seasons are tied together. each season explores an element of baltimore and how that element ties into the story and affects the people there. for example, season two explores the baltimore docks and touches the surface of their union. season five explores the mass media. season three, so far, seems to be exploring the mayor and various communal institutions. or some deep shit like that. it's not like csi where every few seasons, one of the actors quits the show and another starts popping up and becomes a regular with new villains in every episode. you basically couldn't watch an episode from the middle of a season and enjoy it without having seen everything that has happened in the build-up.
