so i am towards the end of my degree program and one of the things we have to do is record an artist(s) band, singer, rapper, whatever. the course director assigns us the artists that is found through my schools artists relations department. my lab group and i got this band called The Winter Sounds. they have website if you want to check them out i think its thewintersounds.com
anyways so they come in the studio and we (my lab group and i, 5 other people besides me) set up their mics in the live room and we start doing the tracking. our lab instructor/producer for this project is a latin grammy winner so it was cool to learn some things from him and this is a guy who hates the digital age, o.g analog kind of guy, really cool dude too. after all the tracking we have to mix it down and at the end of the course we submit the song for a competition. we are one of about 20 lab groups. there are 5 winners. one group takes the grand prize, two runners up (one from the morning class and one from the afternoon class) and then two thrid place winners.
we are submitting our final mix on tuesday. i was wondering what you guys think of what we got so far. give thoughts . what you like dont like etc. dont pay too much attention to the lyrics and their playing shit like that.
