Uhm, it should be "Intendant" in French. I am not sure though. I got that translation from a website. They perform tasks for others. There's gotta be a better explanation...you hire someone to make breakfast for you, do laundry, and other household stuff. That's a butler.

He said "are you a butler" because, in the USA, we see "Pierre" as a common name for butlers.
