People do. It's called bare knuckle boxing. And boxing was originally the same way. But the rules progressed and it became the sport it it now.



And the dogs don't always fight to the death.



I mean. I like Dogs and that. And I'd never be cruel to my dog. But I hate that everyone acts so politcally correct these days.

It's like all these people who complain about too much violence and swearing on TV for example. Their lives must be so uncomplicated and hassle free. I know mine aint.




And I thought the domestic violence punishments were strict too. They need to use common sense. Giving your girl a slap in the heat of the moment is a lot different to premeditated systematic violence.

Dogs do nothing but good for us. Whether its a seeing eye dog, or a companion that relieves your stress... they are very significant, yet all we do is feed them the same fuckin food everyday and fight them in underground rings!

I agree, if you do become violent when you drink - dont drink. It's like saying drink driving is ok because I was drunk, you avoid situations where you are not in control of yourself.

I think the poster is saying the domestic violence laws should be more strict than or the same as dog fighting laws. I agree with what your saying about dogs its sick to give animals that kind of life, but when there is major domestic violence problems you need to have a harsh penalty to help stop this problem, although other measures need to be taken this could start the ball rolling.

Ok, first of all, I'm not bitching about where I live. I know that it could be worse, I'm not dumb. What I'm saying is, how is it right to let someone out in 30 days for beating their spouse or significant other or whatever the case may be and having someone spend 4 years for fighting dogs? Yes dogs are good animals but I don't care what you say, their lives are not as significant as humans no matter how you look at it. And this was not my friend, it's just someone I know and yes it was his first offense. He had been fighting these dogs against each other for some time and he finally got caught doing it. It's good he got time for it because that's just cruel to make dogs fight each other to the death or until one of em is hurt too bad to go on. But the point is, how do you feel like it's more important to lock someone up for years for that and days for hitting a family member? It's whack is so many ways.
A woman here was recently kidnapped and killed by her ex-boyfriend who had already been locked up for domestic violence once, and let out in 30 days, and had numerous reports filed against him for stalking and harrassing her. She had restraining orders on him and had stacks upon stacks of police reports where she'd called on him for harrassing her at work and home and sitting outside her house for hours at a time. Now had this fucker been locked up for these offenses like he shoulda been, she'd still be alive today. And btw, he killed himself after he killed her so he got what he deserved.
So how is her life less important than fighting dogs against each other?

Yes dogs are good animals but I don't care what you say, their lives are not as significant as humans no matter how you look at it.

Everything has its own place in the justice system. First of, why is the poster even comparing the two things. Her friend commited a crime and there are probably more issues to the circumstances and he got time in jail.
And id you know by the time I finsh writing this that about 3 children will have died from a disease which has a vaccination costing around 10 cents. Everything has its own time and place and circumstance.
