I'm a sucker for childhood brands becoming movies nowadays; and I don't know of any other brand that has spanned as many childhoods as the long running Simpsons. So I cant help but be excited about THE SIMPSONS MOVIE; even if the series has been somewhat sucky over the past few (several?) seasons.

I will admit it has picked up, and I have high hopes that the movie will be great. The trailer has hit the Internet today (and managed to jam up 2 separate email accounts of mine, so word of mouth is hot on this one!), and I have to admit that a guilty little "excellent" a la Mr. Burns escaped my lips as I hit play.

I see your 'somewhat sucky' and raise to 'so terrible it's a disgrace it even bears the name The Simpsons'.

It comes as no surprise that these trailers were shit. It used to be a show for adults that kids could enjoy but now it's just a show for kids. Ugh.

I think the show has changed too much for it to really matter. Bringing in the old writers might mean it won't suck completely though.

I don't know if it's just me, but I picked the Simpsons up later on in my life, I didn't like them too much as a child, it more likley started maybe around 17 or so, and I really started to love them as I was beyond 20. I don't think the Simpsons are for children, I think as an adult u have way more fun. Havin said that, yes I do look forward 2 a movie.

This movie will be so-so, only Conan O'brien could bring it back to greatness now.
