Matt Groening's animated brainchild The Simpsons is airing its first HD episode tomorrow night on FOX, and to celebrate, the show is premiering its brand-new opening-credits sequence.

The series, which began running in 1989, melds classic opening-sequence gags with updated material in the new revamp.

Thoughts? I dig it. Seems a little long though.

the only thing new which i used to look forward too was what bart wrote on the blackboard, yeah its too long for an introductiion

I hope that you guys know that the couch chasing sequence was one of those "couch scenes" and that it wont be like this every time.

I'm just saying... Wouldn't be surprised with your retards. :D

Anyways, i think that it's really cool. Was about time.

its cool.

most of the time when they play simpsons on UK tv they cut out most of the introduction anyway

It was about time they added all the memorable characters that were not in the opening before.

They should have done this ages ago.

i like the fact that they actually went HD. it caught me by surprise when i played it this morning on my DVR. and halfway through a season? so random.
