Still creeps me out till this day. The whole atmosphere of the movie is horrifying.

I like the movie but there's a few problems with it. First of all, Jack Nicholson's character is supposed to be perfectly normal at the beginning and then he gradually goes crazy, but he looks crazy right at the beginning of the movie already. In the opening scene when they are driving to the hotel, he looks like he's ready to kill his family right then lol. And Shelly Duvall is absolutely terrible as his wife, this is one of the worst performances I've ever seen in a movie. Well maybe not that bad, but it's pretty fuckin' bad. Overall the movie is still a classic, but if you haven't already, read the book, it's quite a bit different and I think it's much better imo

The hotel is tight I can tell you that. It's in estes Park here in CO, jus the movie makes the place kind of Eerie, just based on that the movie did it's job and it is good so yeah.
