It's just simple image manipulation eye trickery. I could make a similar image in Photoshop where you'd see my face instead.

That would be much better, since the image of a man you see in this one is completely made up (by that I mean the man that did exist called jesus christ looked NOTHING like how the church/christianity portrays him)
