Woody's thread inspired me. He is one of my all-time favorite rappers, so underrated it's hard to find his albums, lol. I absolutely love his music and his style, and he made some of the deepest-hitting, most memorable songs I have ever heard in hip-hop. Very consistent too, as his albums are mostly filled with great stuff.
This is possibly the single most impactful song I have ever heard, still sending shivers down my spine. The second verse is also one of the last verses that Poetic of the Gravediggaz laid right before he lost his fight to colon cancer:
"Gravediggaz rapper Too Poetic (real name:Anthony Ian Berkeley) died Sunday, July 15, 2001 at a Los Angeles hospital after a long fight with colon cancer. He was 35. "
