Anybody watch the new Jacksons Reality Show? First episode aired a few days ago. The main participants are Tito, Marlon, Jermaine and Jackie.

Randy didn't want anything to do with the show, neither did Latoya, Rebbie or Janet (although you do hear from Janet at one point when they phone her and put her on the loudspeaker for everyone to hear)

Random other Jacksons like Jackie's son (rapper Siggy 'Dealz' Jackson), Tito's kids (the band 3T = Taj, TJ and Taryll) and some of Jermaine's kids are on it.

Also Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson and Jackie's daughter Brandi make brief appearances.

Brandi Jackson is freakin' gorgeous, but most of the Jackson girls are. The official line is that Brandi was adopted, but there's a rumor that she's actually Janet's daughter with James DeBarge from the band DeBarge. Janet and James were briefly married in the early 80's.

I don't know how true that is but Brandi looks like a Jackson to me.

Anyway, the show was cool. Jermaine came across a little controlling, but Jackie, Tito and Marlon all seem pretty cool and levelheaded. It was cool to see them in the studio and hanging out.

I cried again when they talked about Michael's death, it was really sad to see them talking about him mixed in with some archive J5 footage....most of the first episode was shot before Michael died, but obviously the whole shot was put on hold for a while after Michael died....

Looking forward to the second episode.

I missed it actually, but I'm gonna be downloading it this weekend.

Was it like one of those cheesy reality shows? I hated the Osbournes, and I didn't like how Hogan Knows Best was portrayed either.

No it's not particularly cheesy, I think it's pretty well-made.

It doesn't feel forced or tabloidy.

Im relieved to hear that it was filmed and planned BEFORE Michael's death. I would have hated for the whole show to come about after it, it would just reek of exploitation.

Yeah I believe they had been shopping the idea to networks up to two years before Michael passed, they finally got the whole thing started at the beginning of this year.

The brothers had always planned to be fairly active this year, as this years of course marks the 40th anniversary of the release of the debut J5 single "I Want You Back". In the first episode you see them talking about that and starting to record some new material. They were gonna do stuff this year with or without Michael, because of it being the anniversary.

Third episode aired on Sunday, gonna check it out tonight.
