The High School Mentality of this Board...

I think this is far fetch. The mentality is not high school only thing that is even close is maybe what can be found in the Awards part of this board, but otherwise (and this is coming from being on other fourms) this board is way from that. And the Mark Deez thing was all in humor and facts.

Not at all. When i click the big X in the top right, i don't think about this board. The thing is that this board has gone downhill and you claim to be one of the leading members. What does that say about you?

I never claimed to be a leading member myself. I just stated that there were core members, whose departure would signify the death of this board.

You probably don't remember this, but last year the sports area was dying (it didn't even have its own area, it was just Entertainment Tonight, mixed in with television and video game discussion). I took it upon myself to post every single interesting piece of sports news I saw in an effort to liven it up. What happened? Sports got its own forum.


I know I didn't do it all by myself, but I contributed and I brought interest to it, and shit changed. So my recommendation to you is that you stop bitching and start contributing.

I vaguely remember a thread where you claimed yourself to be one of these so called "core members". If you left would the board die as you claim? I don't believe it would, someone else would step up to the plate. Same for anyone.

The high school mentality i talk about is the individual "cliques" brown-nosing each other and if anyone dares to cristicise one member of a clique, the rest jump in with stupid arguments and childish insults (see Mark Deez, LilShortie, Rahim etc). Easy did it, but it was funny, not aggressive. That's why the rep system was taken away and it's why members just get fucked off and leave. Think about it this way, if you (not specifically you) didn't try and drive out members that you've adjudged not "cool" enough (high school mentality again) then forums such as Sports wouldn't be dead on their arse with little activity.

Core members such as Big E, Chronic, Skillz, Ruk, even the likes of AON to some extent have left and the "replacements" (yourself, Kami/Diaz, etc) are not of the same calibre, as much as you'd like and claim to be. You post in quantity ("I took it upon myself to post every single interesting piece of sports news") but not the quality. Diaz and Kami for example, don't post anything that isn't an insult, humour or not, in this forum. Dante, i'll admit, i find amusing, but he's also the most patronising, arrogant person on here.

And in response to your comment about "doing something about it". I'm here for the banter with other members, not to post countless threads. I support the site in anyway i can with VIP etc but to be honest, recently there's very few people i relate to on this board so therefore i feel no urge to post threads on this board.

I find a conry quality to all this "if so-so left this board would die". What are we EMO? Shit, if one gets banned then they deserved it, just have to put faith in the mods to keep it fair...

Fuckin hell dude, do you want some form of certificate or somethin? You do so much get can't scrub together $20 to pay for a VIP. Whilst your doing all this stuff around here unfortunately my ass is workin so i can live, when you stop being a student you'll probably realise you don't have time to run popularity contests on the net. Key word from my previous post VAGUELY. As in, i wasn't certain. I wasn't prepared to go diggin for it either.
