What I was saying in the post you quoted was that there is a difference between traffic and activity. Lots of people visit the site and this continues all day, everyday - that's traffic and that isnt declining. Activity - posting and new threads, that increases and declines constantly and it's true that it has been quiet lately.

Visiting the site all day doesn’t necessarily means a lot of people are visiting , more or less the same people continuously visiting through out the day at various places .Especially when their boss walks by and they X out their browser numerous times.

Anyway, if you have any specific suggestions for improvement, let me know.

Were grateful for the fact that your open minded about the issue and I will certainly add suggestions.

Nevertheless, like I said in my initial post , most members (myself included) stumbled on this site through the interest and curiosity of 2pac. We ought to take that into consideration to possibly go back to a few of our old ways…

Even it that were the case that it is members not logged in, I have the pleasure of moderating the new users on a daily basis (seriously boring task, lol) so can say with certainty we do have a lot of new users and those are the merely ones that register and doesnt take account of other genuine visitors. There are records of daily traffic anyway which are presumably ip based.

What I meant by all day is that there are people coming and going all day and that it runs 24 hours coz of diff time zones so that there's never a time (unless its down or something) that no-one is on here.

It's because the strictness. Now it seems Our Block is limited to Youtube videos and jokes people get in their e-mail and decide to post. Like some people said, good members who actually put thought into their posts leave, which makes more good members leave, and so on. I think the attempts to make Streethop more of a community is actually making it less of a community.
