Ive also heard recently that Ghost & U haven't recorded anything for the new Wu record thats apparently being made. Thats kinda shotty, I like U and Ghost and a Wu album without them just isn't a Wu album.

I wouldn't include Gravediggaz, Hillside Scramblers or Theodore Unit when talking about the Wu-Tang family. For example no one in Gravediggaz except for The RZA is Wu-Tang.

There's a lot you're missing but the ones I know by heart:

Royal Fam (includes Dreddy Kurger and Solomon Childs)
Bronze Nazareth
Cilvaringz
Suga Bang Bang
Remedy
Du-Lilz (not 100% sure)

There's a shitload more, very hard to make a complete list, especially since some are no longer affiliated. You should google some Wu fansites.

I made a list of Wu-Tang related (I did include Gravediggaz, Theodore Unit etc. cause a Wu-Tang member was/is in them) releases, maybe it'll help. I'm not 100% sure on some of them, hard to find proper info most of the time.

The Genius - Words From The Genius (1991) <-- this is rare isn't it? Ive heard about it but never been able to find it or find the actual songs to download.

But you're right Chron, there's a hell of alot missing. Remedy is one I shouldve remembered. He used to be my fav. white emcee for along time (I think im thinking of the right Rem?). There's also some European and Latin cats I forgot too which make part of some international division of the Wu in which RZA made a few years back. But cheers on the info feedback :thumb:.

P.S. youve bumped all them LP's? If so you're a god among wu fans my man. ha.

peace.

i hope ghostface is on the album...but not U-God..that dude is fucken shit
thats the general consensus of U. However I beg to differ, it's a played topic though. "U-God is wack". He might not be the 'best' in the fam but when you're comparing someone to emcee's like Ghost, Meth, Deck, Gen and so on it's hard to be 'better' especially when those emcee's are critically acclaimed by both the industry underground and some commercial and more importantly the fans. But U can and does come correct, thats not even opinion but fact. He's not flamboyant like Meth or ODB. He's not super-lyrical like Gen or Deck and he's not on some other shit like Ghost is and/or Rae was. But he's tight regardless..

He killed "Gravel Pit" and killed most songs post-'Forever' eg. Ghost's "Cherchez La'Ghost". Why? Because U-God was and is still hungry as he never achieved such success which others might have.

I know you've been a fan of RZA for awhile now, but U-God > RZA as an emcee. My reasons for that? His flow is way more consistent, RZA at times seems to force a flow because his rhyme structure is jotted down in longer than average bars. And can even ruin songs because of that reason eg. AZ's 'The Birth'. He's rhymes are stuck inbetween nice and 'what the fuck is he saying?'. He's the mixture of Ghost and GZA but only extracts their weaker points instead of their highlights. That being said, when he gets his style correct he kills songs eg. "Protect Ya Neck", most on 'The W'.

U-God can be repeatitive but I admire the way he tells it how it is occassionally lacing his rhymes on some 'swinging my lyrical swords at your vocal chords" shit and like RZA, when he gets it correct he kills songs as I mentioned above.

Ofcourse it's all opinions, but I think that there's no real difference between liking RZA and/or U-God. They're similar yet different at the same time on different notes. But I stand by U-God > RZA. You'll beg to differ no doubt, but I think calling him shit in unjustified.

peace.
