Yeah i watched it on friday, good movie. Jack was great in it, as was leonardo, matt damon, and mark walberg. I did'nt think it was as good as it was hyped up to be, but still a good film. I mean id herd some people say it was up there with Goodfellas, it's nowhere near Goodfellas/scarface/Godfather/Once apon a time in america/Casino/pulp fiction/state of grace or many other gangster movies i did'nt even think it was as good as Resevoir dogs.

My friend saw it and said it was a great movie. I saw the original hong kong version (Infernal Affairs) and we compared the two and they are pretty similar, especially the ending.

Saw it, thought it was fantastic. The best movie of 2006 so far. Everyone was great in it, if Scorsese doesn't get the best director Oscar for this, he'll never get it.

Martin will not get one for this one no way, even if he did it didnt deserve it.. i mean the only way he would win one was for sympathy and recognition over the years.

i do like Departed but thats Martin on autopilot, i think Aviator was his last big chance at the oscars, its a shame that film was really slept on, but martin has a hard time because of his great works in the past people will compare to. (including my self)...

anyways oscars dont mean shit these days just like 5 mic albums at the source... Peter jackson,. Mel Gibson, James Cameron do they deserve it?

Saw this on Sunday, and it was an excellent film. i thought it had a little Goodfellas/Casino mix to it.

Jack was the main man in the movie. but how bout Leonardo? he was a crazy motherfucker, to those who watched the film.

Scorsese should win best director.

Do not Bootleg this movie.. go see it in the theatres its worth the money

Good movie but the ending was a let down..

SPOILERS!!

The ending was too crazy, and wild in killing off all the main charachters so quickly. I was hoping for an ending where Matt Damon's charachter takes over both empires, after killing Jack Nichalson, takes over that world, and is also heat the FBI. That would have been a perfect ending, but instead it was overdone.

Lol I think that as a ending would have been a bit unrealistic. I don't know i think the ending was fine, it was a tidy finish to a kinda hectic plot. In the same breath as Casino and Goodfellas you lose many of the charactors.

Great movie, and i wouldn't argue a oscar win. Scorsese is just one of them directors that unfortunatly a lot of people judge every film to his previous work, he has set the bar so high with his material. The soundtrack in this film was awesome, here's hoping he actually is going to do the Rolling Stones documentary.

Maybe you could hook up with scorsese for his next movie, and really make a blockbuster?

I really enjoyed it, I thought it was well made over all but I dont think anything was THAT outstanding about it, it was great all around but no main highlights. The story was a bit far fetched, the acting was great all around but no oscar winning performances in my opinion.

Jack was great but Jack is always great, and like Martin, he gets judged by his previous work and this wasnt really it.

The main thing I will say is that unlike Gangs of New York, I actually believed Leo in this role; he seems to have finally grown up and can throw a solid punch. Where as Gangs suffered because in my opinion Leo just wasnt a believable tough guy. I predict more action for him after this role.

Check out a new movie coming out, "Blood Diamond" with Leo in it. Trailer looks great.

Lol talking about accents, Ray Winstone was total badass in The Departed and its about time he got some big work but i did notice a few times when the cockney accent slipped out.

Check out what's eating Gilbert Grape for a great Leo performance, for me he is one of the most important young actors working today. His performance in the Aviator was amazing also.
