yea right.. this is a government that can send a cruise missle 2000 miles away from ship in the persian gulf and hit its target within feet but the same gov't cant find away to get some busses, national guard and food/water to its own citizens in a resonable amount of time

louisiana is in the bottom of the economy along with miss/alabama and arkasas... what did you think was going to happen.. what happened was no suprise.... N.O is filled to its teeth with projects kats and crooked cops (half of which deserted there collegues) tryna they best to survive doing what they do everyday... stealing killing and drugs... you think its suppose to stop because of the hurricane.. come on now...

this shit was bound to happen.. you dont give ppl that have nothing but generations of fucked up family conditions a chance to rise cause this is what happenes.. im glad the national guard finally showed up though for the people who want to get out of the city.

they have sent buses, national guard, food and water to it's citizens. but it takes time. they couldn't predict this type of devistation was going to happen. Confucius made good points of pointing that they are getting these supplys like food and buses from other parties. donations. people that have a heart.

yesterday or the day before they showed the prisoners being evacuated but they were well guarded by guys with shotguns. if anyone tried to make a break for it they would be laying dead in the water.

Wow. So poor people are supposed to evacuate how? I have no car, no money for a place to stay, pretty much no means at all to evacuate, but yet they should take some blame? And the government does have busses and food, it's not second party organizations they get them from, they have it, the same things they transport and feed soldiers with. And even if they ahd to ask RTD or someone for a bus in a time like this, i'm sure the president of RTD is sitting their contemplating if he should help. And don't tell me this hasn't taken to long, they knew something was gonna happen. What happened to preparing for the worse, instead of acting after it happens. They ordered a full evacuation, but yeah thye had no idea something was gonna happen.... Face it, they were unprepared, unorganized, and like someone said unresponsive in a time like this. You can't tell me that you look at this and said wow, this is moving way to slow. And speaking of preparing, maybe they should of sent these busses and evacuated the people before the storm came, not after.

The government doesn't have a fleet of buses, but they have some. And like I said before, I'm sure the President of Greyhound would contemplate and hesitate to help out in a time like this.
