What's going on in New Orleans in ignorant... How the hell are people gonna shoot at patients evacuating a hospital?!?!?! I was watching the news this morning while getting dressed for work, and someone actually had a good suggestion. Every able bodied man holed up in some refugee spot needs to be taken back to N.O. and given $20-$30 per hour to start cleaning shit up... I mean, they ALL need money right now and if they want to live there again, they can't expect things to be magically done for them. It's a win/win situation. And considering that thousands (not all, but thousands) had the chance to evacuate days before the storm hit and, for one reason or another didn't, these guys gotta take some of the responsibility for the mess they are in... anyway... go Raiders!!!

yesterday or the day before they showed the prisoners being evacuated but they were well guarded by guys with shotguns. if anyone tried to make a break for it they would be laying dead in the water.

i'm tired of people saying that it has taken too long for the govt to bring in help. it's not like this has happend a week or two weeks ago. its only been like 3 days. the flooding happend like what tuesday? shit takes time to bring help far states. with no power, or way to communicate it's going to make it a little bit more difficult. everyone should shut the fuck up about how long it took for help to arrive. help arrived pretty quickly if you really look at it.

yea right.. this is a government that can send a cruise missle 2000 miles away from ship in the persian gulf and hit its target within feet but the same gov't cant find away to get some busses, national guard and food/water to its own citizens in a resonable amount of time

louisiana is in the bottom of the economy along with miss/alabama and arkasas... what did you think was going to happen.. what happened was no suprise.... i totally agree. the government has practically no type of resources for shit like this. there's only so much they can do. for instance, the buses that transport the people out of there would not be from the government. someone would have to donate those vehicles. the same with the food. how can they give anything when they don't have it. they are getting the food from nation-wide contributions from public parties such as the citizens and private organizations such as Red Cross., not the government. the only thing the government can give is money. and seeing that it's hard enough getting the supplies there in the first place, the money is still of no use right now.
