yeah xbox has a great hard drive<<<<< notice the sarcasm, i had 2 X box's brand nw not used with in 3 months the hard drives crashed. Shit can go both ways X Box has some bad ass graphics cant deny that. But ps2 has one of the baddest games that i doubt in fact if im not mistaken i read will not be released on any other system Grand Theft Auto San Andres. dont care what anyone says you cant dispute it how many awards did the game wint at the video game awards??? including best game of the year. The biggest problem with GTA on the PS2 was the draw distance, which will hopefully be fixed on the Xbox version.
I got a PS2. I'm very happy about it. Honestly, I think X-box graphics are much better than PS2. Sport games are better on X-Box also, but I love the games they have on PS2 also.
I've been playing Metal Gear Solid 3 lately, and it's amazing. Honestly, the cinematics beat anything I've ever seen on X-box. To me though, most of the games on X-Box that I do like, have come out on PC, and I've played them, so it doesn't leave me much for X-box expect for sport games.
I'll put PC and it's games in front of any console. You can't beat World of Warcraft, HL2, CS:Source and great shooters like that. Consoles are not made for shooters, shit feels wrong on a controller (expect for maybe Halo lol)
If I had to compare X-Box and PS2. I say them come pretty close. If I had the means I'd get an X-Box so I could have best of both worlds. Halo is prehaps the best and only good shooter for console and keep in mind that Halo was suppost to be released of PC FIRST. Not any console.

Ok, Being a child of the console ages like most i was the lucky child who always got the latest consoles.
I've still got my commodore 64, atari, nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega mega drive, Playstation, Nintendo 64. And i do have the PS2, Dreamcast, Game Cube and the Xbox.
Let's just limit the conversation to the PS2 and Xbox.
When the PS2 came out it was the best thing since sliced bread, well not the best but it was up there. I was at the store with my 600 or so bucks that i saved up for like 3 months of hard work at Red Rooster and got one. I played it non-stop for months.
Then the xbox came out and i was got it, compared the graphics and the PS2 like the dreamcast got packed away. Mind you when good games came out (GTA SA) i'll get the games and play them for a bit, then it would go back in it's dusty little corner.
Though i really don't play them much (i boght a gamecube because it was 90 bucks, how can i go wrong).
I've got about 3 xbox's (my first one died 3 weeks ago, so i'm left with 2, but i can't get rid of it because of it's sentimental value). One is chipped and one is for live. But i can't be bothered playing so i don't really use live. The beauty of xbox is replacing the hard drive with a bigger one, chipping the xbox and installuing unleashX or EvolutionX on it. Being able to play around all you want and store games.
PS3 and Xbox 2 should be an interesting battle.
Apparently xbox2 (or Nextbox) will come come in three versions, one with no hard drive, one with a hard drive and one which also is a personal computer on your TV. But these can all just be rumors. The Xbox v1.6 was a test for xbox 2 to see if people will still be able to chip it, it took much longer and it's much harder, but chipping it is now possible. So there goes their master plan
