just saw it on the local news over here.....that's pretty crazy.

when does that show come on 'Americas most wanted' or somethin like that on Fox channel. its a show where they investigate high profile criminals or runaway peoples. it be on Fox5 channel but i dont remember when it comes on. they might have her on that show.

damn, personally i don't like police, i had shady run ins with cops. bustas stole my weed and my digi. though no record of me exists of me being stopped. fuckers still made me pay for ride out of impound though. so i'm like fuck crooked cops. i mean, i haven't looked at the evidence in her case, but there is many instances where cops don't think and are quick to point fingers at the nearest suspect. if she did kill him, then yeah she should be incarcerated, but more power to you if manage to escape. and fuck any snitches who get her caught. i support all escape attempts, unless your a pedophile, anyways, i'm babbling on again so i'm out, one

by the way the only reason there doing this is cuz of the word terrorist, what's the color today, pussy pink, i don't know. what happened to finding Osama, that bitch killed more cops than this woman.

she's on the terrorist list because a) she's a long-time fugitive for the murder of a law enforcement officer and b) she has ties to the panthers. the feds, go figure, are a little paranoid about organizations who they believe are trying to overthrow them. while the panthers didn't intend to completely overthrow the government and kill all politicians, they wanted the justice and awareness that they had been denied. long story short, it's easier for those in power to label them rebels and terrorists than to confront the wrongs that the panthers sought reparations for.

assatta is not osama, but because some other panther members resorted to acts of strong violence (bombing bridges, arson of federal buildings, etc) legally she's regarded as his cohort.

i know it's an overkill since the panthers were only seeking justice and equality, but in the end of the day if you murder a cop they WILL find you one way or another.

How do you know Bin laden doesnt seek freedom and equality but perhaps on a larger global scale. I am not tryin to justify his actions tho they were wrong and should be punished same as the actions of the panthers.

"One man's terrorist is another man's freedom figher" very true.

very true. it's all how you frame it.

after the first attack on american soil since pearl harbor, and a rather cowardly means of doing so at that, osama created an adversarial relationship, the same as the panthers did. making people take note is important, but moreso is to do that by having that notice be positive instead of negative. that's the whole mlk vs x thing.../

oo shit i just saw this on news 12 about 20min ago (local new jersey news) but they used her christian name

I don't care if she's extradited back to the US, or if she's kidnapped by some vigilante bounty hunters, Special Ops men, the FBI, or by the Marines, I just want her back in a New Jersey prison, period. Anyone who kills a cop just to make a political statement should never know natural light ever again, at the very least. Once she's incarcerated, she should not be allowed to have any visitors, so as to prevent a repeat of a certain incident on April 2, 1979.

Anybody who thinks Assata killed a cop to make a political statement needs to be slapped and read some books...

Just like Mumia, it's proven that she did not murder the cop...

Take the time out to read about what really happened before you start to wish for the imprisonment of a 56 year old woman...

Here side of the story

Open Letter from Assata Shakur

My name is Assata Shakur, and I am a 20th century escaped slave. Because of
government persecution, I was left with no other choice than to flee from the
political repression, racism and violence that dominate the US government's
policy towards people of color. I am an ex-political prisoner, and I have been
living in exile in Cuba since 1984.

Mumia? Well, here's your proof about his case.

Anyway, I still want her jailed, regardless of her age. She was at least complicit, and that makes her as responsible.

Boo...you expect a site that is run by the widow of the cop who was killed that night to have the truth about what happened? I don't think so. You gotta know the ins and outs of both the Mumia and Assata case before demanding she be brought back to New Jersey and put in jail for the rest of her life or having the switch pulled on Mumia.

A good, fair, and balanced book about the Mumia case is Killing Time by Dave Lindorff.
