Event 201 was a 3.5-hour pandemic tabletop simulation hosted by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security with the World Economic Forum and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on October 18, 2019, in New York. It brought together business, government, and public health leaders to practice and highlight pandemic preparedness and response decisions, including the need for public-private cooperation.

Event 201 simulated a fictional pandemic scenario that resulted in a projected death toll of 65 million people within 18 months.

Fuck man, it's not like we wake up one day and a billion people are dead. It's going to be SLOW. Date centers and the rich get the electricity and people end up burning rubbish to stay warm. People can't afford food and before we know it, there's going to be an army of illiterate loonies running around looking for their snack and soda.
