I've listened to over 500 albums in this category, including what other people have said are the greatest, of course. There's no important album I haven't listened to and many an unimportant one I have. No attention is paid to heaviness here. This is simply my own personal ranking of the 10 greatest albums in this category. I could have made it 100 but no one would have read it. If you want to know where one of your favs are on my list, just ask.

1. Led Zeppelin: Physical Graffiti
2. Queen: Queen
3. Black Sabbath: Sabotage
4. The Dictators: Bloodbrothers
5. Judas Priest: Killing Machine
6. Rainbow: Down to Earth
7. Black Sabbath: Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
8. Gillian: Mr. Universe
9. Queen: Sheer Heart Attack
10. AC/DC: Powerage

By ranking them I'm of course just splitting hairs for entertainment purposes. They're all just about equally great.

i've never heard of this band called "gillian", any songs you could name that are good
Oops, I had an extra "i" in there. It's Gillan, as in Ian Gillan. A true Rock pioneer.

Ian Gillan was the vocalist for Deep Purple. Left them in 1973. Started the Ian Gillan Band in '76, which was shortened to Gillan. Group lasted until 1982. Sang with Black Sabbath for a year, then went back to Deep Purple. Gillan has many good tunes. But the ones from this '79 album: "Secret of the Dance," "Roller," "Dead of Night," and "Message in a Bottle." Doubt though you'll find them to download. The fans, as always, know what's going on -- they always have, but the press and the "industry" have often not had a clue.

Btw, he also sings the part of Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack.
