Film & TV Teenage. Mutant. Ninja. Turtles.

Saw the new CGI film a few hours ago, LOVED IT. Didn't think it was too kiddie, nor too dark, but darker tones was present. The CGI was amazingly detailed in alot of scenes including an AMAZING scene in the rain. This is not for newcomers to the Turtles, the film exists in the same universe as the 3 live action films (yes, even shitty number 3). And I thought it was cool that Laurence Fishburne (Morephus) did the open narration. If you are a TMNT fan, I think you're gonna see it anyway, so me telling you to go see it won't matter. But, Go see it. Help the Turtles live!

Shredder is not the main villain, the main villains are these anicent soldiers. Shredder is mentioned, and also the Foot are in there.

this movie was amazing. they still had some corny one-liners by mike, but you expect that. the animation in the historical scenes and in the rain scene mentioned by dogmatic were absolutely incredible. the score was great, there was a fair amount of humor, and a fair amount of serious stuff.

shredder is not in the movie but he is alluded to.

i would def recommend this movie and i am def gonna pick it up on DVD.

Great movie, loved the turtles as a kid and nice to see them back on the big screen. Excellent animation as some others have already said. Took my nephew whos only 4 to see it, nice to see the franchise still appeals to kids today, he thought it was great.

Now i gotta dig out all my old turtles figures from the loft for him

I wanna see this. Kinda disappointing that there's no Shredder, Krang or Bebop & Rocksteady though. Is April in it?

It was alright. It had some cool stuff but most of it was a typical Hollywood action flick, lame one-liners included. I'd watch a sequel though.

just read somewhere (i forgot where) that the reason krang, bebop, and rocksteady weren't in it--and most likely will not appear in sequels--is that eastman and laird (the creators) want little or no connection to the cartoon and keep it more connected to the comics.
