Here's the 15 that I thought would be best for this year's round:

1.Pacboard’s Most Valuable Poster

This is basically the MVP of the Streethop forum. Which member best displays an understanding of what hip-hop is and knows the ins and outs of the music and culture?

13.The Know the Ledge Award
Who best kicks the knowledge on the board? This is mainly for but not limited to Words of Wisdom. Why this title? Because I like Rakim, OK?
Total number of candidates: 7

Total number of candidates: 6

15.Most Popular

16.The Tupac Remixer of the Year Award
Were you feeling Dante's "OG Vibes"? Or did you prefer "The Way He Wanted It"? Or did someone do just a couple songs that you were really feeling?
Total number of candidates: 4

17.Keeping the Name Alive Award
Who really stood out this year in representing for Pac in a dignified manner?
Total number of candidates: 5

18.The Do Anything for Love Award
Whether it was through intriguing threads or great advice, who dominated the Do For Love forum in your eyes?

19.The He Got Game Award

Total number of candidates: 5

20.Worst Thread Starter of the Year
Have you ever seen a thread so inane that it makes your head hurt? Then the next day you see another one and realize it was made by the same douchebag who made the one the day before? This is for that douchebag.
Total number of candidates: 6

Total number of candidates will be the top nominees for each category. I recommend that Rukas set up another section with two subforums, one for nominations and one for actually voting after the nominations are through.

I recommend nominations work as followed:

-Each member will be able to nominate one and only one member for each category. If the members you have in mind are all already nominated do not feel obliged to nominate someone else. The less nominations we have the easier it will be to keep track and decide. For instance, if you think only Bank Robber and SicC are only arrogant enough for "Most Arrogant" and they've already been nominated, do not just nominate Amara for the hell of it. Amara is not arrogant.

-Each nominations must be seconded three times to be eligible to be a candidate. Each member can second as many nominations as he or she wishes.

-Each member will have the ability to denounce a nomination. To stick with the same example, if Amara is nominated for "Most Arrogant" and three members say no to that nomination, the nomination is therefore cancelled. There must be three more denouncements than seconds for a nomination to be cancelled.

If you have any problems with the categories and/or the nomination procedures, drop them here. This is not the thread to campaign for "Most Likely to Ruin a Thread"

for the rookie one? y august of 2004, shouldnt it be has to hav joined in 2005? Then they wud be a rookie. But other than that the everything seems good. :thumb: after we get everything cleared up here, we should start a thread for nominations. Or do u think we should start a nominations thread for every individual award, that way it will all be organised better

august of 2004 would make it one year since they joined...it's no big deal, if you'd rather have it be 2005 then im cool with that

i think we should wait to hear from ruk...i think he should make the other forums so that we can do it in an organized fashion...and we would do one thread for each category

well if u wanna do it a year from now, then it should be September not August. Seein how its Sept 2nd today. but either way is good for me.

And ya lets wait for Ruk. I don no if he'll start the threads tho, he didnt seem to interested in gettin involved in this. But we should wait for him.

i dont mind starting the threads myself, i just don't have the ability to create an entire new section...only admins can do that

i volunteered myself to moderate the forums if he makes them

So, who are the candidates?
we didn't hold nominations yet...i'm waiting to hear from ruk to see how he wants to handle it...i don't think we should bog down Our Block with nomination threads

I hold the record for being on probation the longest in TB's history, so its only fair that you hand me the award now rather than going through all the trouble of making a thread about it, the nominations etc :)

The rest of the Categories look ok tho

you already have a good shot at MVP, arrogant, most popular, and funniest...you don't need another one
