Nice picture. You could of found a better artist though. Lines look a bit shabby.

How long did it take? Did you cry?

Now you just need some arms to go with it :P

My half sleeve is nearly done. Only one more sitting :)

A lion? Seriously? Whatever makes you happy I guess.

Before getting a tattoo you have to do a ton of research on what you want and the artist in your area. Go around to all the shops around you and look at their books. A legit tattoo artist won't lie to you and he will tell you what will be right for you and what won't. I'll tell you right now that if you are paying $120 for a lion and a chain that is a shit artist. Most places charge that an hour and the outline would probably take longer than that. With tattoos you get what you pay for.

......

That may be true, but I know a few people with them, and they're all wannabe tough guys that feel the need to overly assert their masculinity, probably because they're insecure about it.

It's like, what are you trying to say with it? You trying to make yourself feel like you have the qualities of a lion? You trying to make other people feel that way? Well OK, big man, I'll just stand here and be intimidated by you then because of your tattoo.....not.

I'm not saying that's necessarily the case with Shadows.....I'm just speaking from experience, and from my experience, the people I know with lion tattoos are not only completely unoriginal, but insecure enough about their masculinity to want to insinuate that they have a fearless, predatory, lion-esque personality when the reality is that they have fears and insecurities just like any other normal person.

It's like the guys trying to assert themselves as having a spiritual calmness with an underlying coldblooded dangerous side by getting random Chinese and Japanese symbols on them. Half of them probably translate as "Chow Mein and Fried Rice".

Most commonly seen tattoos are extremely transparent in motive.

lol yeah I once saw a guy with random Katakana symbols on his chest.
Also, watching Miami Ink once I saw a girl wanting "a chinese tattoo" and browsing all Chinese symbols looking for one that looks the coolest.
That is uber lame.

Personally I like Dragon tattoos (and I mean the way they look) but I don't know why would someone do it unless he's in Yakuza.

Dated one?

I'm not sure if i ever posted it or told ppl about why through IM or PM's.

But, the reason was was because it was roaring.

When I first went in, the guy was being an asshole.

"You better fucking get something you aint gonna regret kid. NO bullshit initials or ppls names, dont be stupid. I do that shit, but don't be stupid." Then, he went on to say that usually people get the complete lion and thought it was weird for me to just get a face. But that's because they get lions to show their Leo signs. (yes, I'm a leo, but i didn't get it for that).

Truth is, I respect EVERYTHING Casey said. Whether it was to bash me or not (yah, i know he said it wasn't directed toward me, but i still said it). I too believe people get tattoos for stupid reasons. I know that lions usually come out fucked up looking because of their hair.

Truth is, you don't always get what you pay for Jeremy. My friend (whom I didn't know had a tattoo until he recently messaged me saying he heard I got one, did his research a while back and paid Triple then what I paid.) Look @ what he got.

I got a lion tattoo roaring because it symbolizes everything I've been through, yet I still am standing trying to make the most of my life. (Roaring back @ my past, and staying strong for my future)...

I was taught a lot of things incorrectly, because of my cultures belief's and I overcame so many. (I've said so in the meat vs vegetables debate to Casey, b/c I learned a few things in that debate, b/c food in my culture is something we never really worried about, us Latino's just eat).

Anyway, I grew up watching Lion King (no homo, they have some serious metaphors in there, and i went through a lot that Simba went through with Death and growing up in a tough society having to learn from people other than my parents...)... though, the only DATED death i talked about here was my best friend Donna, which, many of you have said RIP too, thanks).

Then, of course a bunch of other things...

Basically, I learned a lot from Pac. Fear nothing that comes your way. Express yourself to the fullest, and I think I did and do that.

Nothing to show my toughness or anything. I don't have to show that. Imo, that's what makes a person scary.
