still haven't been to home yet. waiting for a really good event. arthouse is good, and greenwood on thursday nights and sounds on sunday is dope as hell.

docks (shithouse, hot, cramped, filled with sleazy motherfuckers)
serious? thanks for the heads up.

Booty Bar, Chocolate City, Greenwood hotel
where the fuck is booty bar? we were gonna go there a few weeks ago but we couldn't find it...
also, where's chocolate city? is it a club or is it more chilled?

thanks to both of you.

^ :p

Pavilion was my very very first club that I went to and go regularly. Heaps nice Asian girls there so it's a must. :p

Besides that, I like to go to Friday (Hunter Bar), The Jacksons(?), Home, Gas and many others that I've forgotten the names of.

Booty Bar sounds good. Where about is that??

pavilion's alright... i've never stayed there more than an hour. we only go to pavilion bar or star bar for cheap drinks before we head out.

if you like asian girls you should go to bamboo bar in martin place. i went in there and felt so out of place.

I've just got a soft spot for Asian girls, because I'm Indonesian myself.

The music/DJ's plays a bigger part if I was to go clubbin', which I haven't done in a while. Rap/Hip-Hop & R&B only for me.

Anyway, what kind of bar, is Bamboo Bar? All the places I've mentioned have got a nice number of great looking Asian girls so I'm all good with those places. I don't really want the whole place to be filled with Asians, especially hard-ass guys in groups. :p

Do you go every or most weekends? I've kind of grown out of clubbin' days but if there was one arranged with heaps of my mates, I would definitely go.

Peace~

Arthouse, Greenwood, Home, Diamond Bar and Verandah bar all pretty good clubs. I started off going to any RnB/HipHop club I could find but these days I pretty much stick to one club.

The greatest is DCMs @ UN on Oxford St. It's dance music, so I assume most of you hiphop heads won't like it but it has the best music and atmosphere. You should check it out.

anyone been to chinese laundry? how is it?

It's ok, gets a bit crowded.

Booty Bar: Civic Hotel, Cnr Pitt St and Goulburn St.
Chocolate City: Oxford Street @ UN (DCM).

Verandah Bar sucked, too many wankers.

yeah, it's probably like 99% Asian. i don't know if it's always that much, but when i went it was. music setup is pretty good. when i went which was a sat night they had 2 pretty good dj's. they played heaps of hip hop/rnb. it's pretty small, just like 1 bar, 1 dance floor and a little chill area.

yeah see thats the thing. i probably go out a few times a week but that's because i just turned 18 a few months ago. i'm sure i'll grow out of it aswell and go back to house parties in a few years.

Those are some strange Club names.. haha

i suppose... what are club names in adelaide... if you guys even have any, lol.

word. i love dance music. i don't think i've even been to a proper hip hop club...

verandah bar was dope as hell when i went. and i was about to go to UN but the line was too long and none of us had money. it's looks good, though. what night is DCMs?

where is diamond bar at and what's it like?

Booty Bar: Civic Hotel, Cnr Pitt St and Goulburn St.
Chocolate City: Oxford Street @ UN (DCM).

sick, thanks. have to try those.

yea thats the thing. I love HipHop/rap but I can't stand your regular RnB (Usher, Chris Brown etc). I've grown tired of hanging out in an RnB club all night just to hear 2-3 songs max that I actually like, the usual being How Do U Want It/Cali Love or What's My Name/Gin & Juice.

I've only been Verandah Bar once and I didn't like it but since then it has changed and so has my taste so I expect to like it. DCMs which is at UN on a Saturday night (It's Chocolate on Fridays) is by far the best. Lines are generally long but you should get in; they don't usually reject as much as other clubs do. If you tried to get in last Sat you picked a bad night as it was temple of dance 2 and I heard it was almost impossible to get in.

Diamond Bar/Hotel is opposite the Hilton on Pitt St. It's also across the road from ArtHouse. I've been twice now and it's your average RnB club. My mate played an hour NRG set there the other week so I'm not sure if they are introducing some dance music there or what.

Go to Opera Bar if you want a nice view. Reviewed as "the best beer garden in the world."

Establishment on George Street.

Tonic on Kellet Street, Kings Cross.

Mars Lounge on Wentworth Ave, Surry Hills.

Biggest selection of good looking places is at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at The Rocks, but it's likely frequented by wankers.

Greenwood is filled with school children.

Tried to list some not mentioned. Personally, I dont go out to clubs and shit anymore. I don't have the time and I can't stand being in a place where I have to ravage my vocal chords to have one word conversations with people.

I'm not the biggest fan of Dance/Electro etc, but club wise that's where it's at. As Simo alluded to, hip-hop clubs in Sydney are pretty dire.

Nothing beats a few mates down at the beer gardens next to Doyles at Watson's Bay for some drinks with an amazing view. It's minutes away from my house, so fuck it, if you go down there I'll join you.

^ Establishment is cool but I think their security are either racist or have favouritsm.

Anyone have been to the r&b club at Castle Hill Tavern? :p I can't remember of the exact name for the event.

Establishment is generally an older crowd and is more of a bar anyway. You get some classy women there though.

I went Castle Hill Tav once and know a few people who are regulars there. I liked it for what it was, wasn't too bad for an club thats not in the city. However its a bitch to get to for me and I don't know anyone from that area.

Another good place which isn't in the city is Roxy @ Parramatta. Friday's are good; I haven't been on a Saturday.

Damn right man, a lot of bouncers in Sydney are straight up power tripping c*nts.

this is true. it's like that almost everywhere in the city, though. most good places you can't get in to if you don't look good or you're with too many guys. biggest dickheads i've encountered are at Bar 333 next to Wynyard and Dragonfly in the Cross.

as for Establishment - my experience there was there were a lot of old, rich, pretentious fucks. nice setup, though.

yeah, i heard castle hill tavern and the roxy were alright. i also heard there's some cool place at ryde for like a wednesday night or something. forget what it was called, though.

anyone been to cabana bar in st. leonards? i went there last week for it's anniversary or birthday or something for the first time. only really went cos there were free drinks from 7-9. it was alright. again, a lot of businessmen in suits, but it was mad chill and a good place to go to before you go out.
