I don't specifically look for those products, no. Sometimes I think I should make an effort, but Bobby has a point as well.
If I had land I would grow my own crops, lawl.
I eat organic foods some times, it depends. I live on a loan and scholarship, so I don't have that much money and try to purchase whatever's cheapest. Ideally, I purchase organic foods though.
I don't know how it is in the states but I think it's similar to here - organic food costs 3 times more than normal food but actually it's the very same stuff from the same farm/plantation.
Just avoid shitty food, cheap brands and such and it's usually healthy for modern standards.

We buy organic chicken/eggs/meat etc the price difference isn't that noticeable and it's tastier. I think if everyone bought it the price would come down, but like any specialty items its going to cost more if less people want it.
I don't know about three times, but yes on average, it's more expensive. Trader Joe's for example is more expensive than Safeway.

We don't have any "healthy food" companies I can think of. There are some stores that sell "organic food" sometimes more than 3 times expensive and the only difference is the price.

The other thing is that we don't have any "mass farms" here. For example when I worked in a pizza joint all ingredients came from hundreds of certified farmers lol
Same with milk or eggs, it's not like in the us where there's a giant farm with 1000cows, 10000 chickens etc. We rather don't have any stuff like that and fortunately enough our farmers have a different mentality. My friend's grandpa owns a plantation and sells apples for one of our juice companies. Same apples are packed and sold as a "branded" healthy product. He doesn't use any dangerous chemicals and honestly cares about his stuff. There are hundreds of people like him for example selling their fruits to bigger supermarkets etc.
Come to think about, if I would spend extra on regular groceries I'd be more likely to buy fair trade products than "organic" food.
The two aren't necessarily mutually-exclusive.
Also, if you really want to help the farmers, buying direct trade products is the way to go.
^Slight difference, though. Most people use them interchangeably. Fair-trade basically just assures that farmers can't get paid less than a minimum price but doesn't negotiate for more. With direct-trade, you pay a premium price above the stated fair-trade price. But, of course, you negotiate with the farmers to make sure that if they want to get paid a premium, they better have the best quality product. This is most often the case with coffee.
