Ever since Avatars have been available, I've been asking for the ability to use an animated gif. Obviously file sizes can be an issue so I guess why its not been possible.
However, is it not possible for use to link offsite to these files so it doesnt cause a lag issue on the site. Also since avatars are now availabe to all, maybe have the animated gif option available to those with VIP?
