this is the perspective of someone who doesn't know dante.
what you are indirectly proposing here is that people who know dante should have some sort of superhuman awareness of what contexts they use dante's name, and that people should think twice about just acknowledging that they actually know dante well enough to have inside jokes. if scruffy had said the same thing but used your handle instead of dante's, nobody would have said anything because obviously no one associates with a loser so it's obvious people aren't trying to be cool when they act as if they REALLY know you. but by the time you turn 18 this discussion shouldn't really be relevant anyway. dante and scruffy often talk on messengers is the impression i get. they probably have inside jokes. i don't feel like i am in a position to tell scruffy how to properly address something that involves dante without coming off as a what was it you called him, a "loser"? your own hatred/jealousy clouds your thoughts. do you really feel that there is a clearly defined purpose and rationalization behind EVERYTHING you do?
