It just gives them permission to call you in whenever they want, let you stay for as much as they want, and you get no overtime $, correct?

If it's the same as over here then no, you have contracted hours per week and for everything over that you do you get pro-rata (equivalent of your hourly rate) + 50%. If anything it means you have a guaranteed wage, meaning you can take half days and still get paid for a full one! :thumb:

Salary pay also leads to things like yearly bonuses, performance related bonuses and potentially company cars, phones etc. Short of owning your own business, salary is where it's at!

I LOVE my new job, it's the best, i have my own space, with my own computer and everything! LOL

When I got in to work today, there was a bouquet of balloons on my desk that said Welcome, it's soo cool, and everyone is soo sweet and nice, the only downside is that I'm like the youngest person in the entire company, but who cares

I'm not salaried, I make like 14.75 an hour which roughly translates into 30k annually. I get overtime too, and they say that they're offering alot of it right now because of the holidays, all overtime is time in a half too!

Oh yeah, I also have the option of joining their credit union, did I mention that I LOVE this job

I can't get on yahoo, hotmail, msn, or anything that doesn't have to do with my job directly
