I'm not sure, but that didn't look like a true force-field as such. From what they were saying and the slow-motion pictures all it did was fire a projectile to meet an oncoming RPG once it got within a certain radius of the tank. It seems to be an extention of the technology that fires out decoy 'pidgeons' when an aircraft is under fire. Wonder how it would react with multiple RPG's fired at it?

It's just an advanced radar system that shoots the head of an coming
missile it doesn't actually protect the vechicle from getting hit, I think it'd have a problem with multiple missles shot at it from all angles so basically if the bullet misses your fucked force field my arse to be honest i'm suprised a force field hasn't been developed through magnetic field technology, I mean they've had jammers for a while now.
I'm more interested in the hyper spray needles they've got comming out in 8 years though
