On my other comp it says my comps infected with spyware, should i just install nortons and get rid of as a virus or is there other percautions i should take to get rid of it?

anyone got a program that you can just dl from download.com?? i use several programs for spyware, but all i end up with is tracking cookies that they claim are harmless...i noticed my comp runs rather slow, and so im thinking spyware is the cause, and these programs arent right or just dont detect them...either way my comp is slow..

go to microsft.com and download microsoft anti spyware beta 1. It works great and is free.

Id personally recommend AdAware, its free, easy to use, popular, reliable, and reguarly updated.

Never had a problem with it, since I started using it a year or two ago Ive never had any spyware (touch wood).
