It's nothing paranormal, and it's not really "spontaneous". It's down to something called the wick effect. The victim is rendered unconscious somehow, and the fire is started by a lit cigarette or another source of ignition, and sets fire to the victims clothing often fuelled by alcohol (most victims have been said to be alcoholics). The wick effect then occurs, whereby human body fat acts as a fuel to the fire allowing the body to burn at high temperatures for long periods of time without surrounding areas being affected. The wick effect was demonstrated by the BBC using a pig carcass wrapped in a blanket. The result matched the common characteristics of SHC.

It's impossible to just spontaneously combust, there's nothing in our body to cause a spark that would have us blowing up.
