I was gonna make a thread about this but I might as well just post it in here.
With the Biggie Duets CD being released it has made me think again about the way Tupac's music has been handled over the last few years, and to be honest in makes me kinda mad.
Althought alot of Pac's fans (well atleast the ones that post here) were very disappointed with his music being remixed and original artists being replaced with new, more 'current' artists, I think that the latest B.I.G. project shows that it can be done well enough to please the everyday listener as well as the die hard fans. I watched the new Biggie video and then Ghetto Gospel, and thought damn what the fuck went wrong.
If your going to update the music and add new artist to the tracks, atleast use this marketing ploy to its full potential. It seems totally pointless to taint the music with new artists like G-Unit etc, and then not even release the track as a single or make a video for it. Thats whats really sad about the last couple of albums, all those popish artists were added for what seems like no reason.
Also, Pac was not an angel, so Amaru need to stop acting like he was. People have had enough singles like 'Changes' & 'Letter 2 My Unborn', not that there is anything wrong with these tracks, but did Pac strictly stick to these types of tracks for singles? No. What happend to the California Love's & How Do U Want It's? Amaru aren't staying true to who Tupac was.
Basically, the main different between Biggie's Legacy and Pac's is that one is being handled by professionals and the other isn't.
