the whole percerption of how many units need to be moved for an album to be "successful" (not that sales make an album anyways) needs to be completely changed. No rapper is gonna go out and sell 5, 6, 7 million records anymore, its the harsh reality. Unless they keep some iTunes count or some shyt, i dunno.

I think that 50 cent and eminem can sell 5 million records easily.

I highly doubt that, especially now with iTunes and albums leaking so easily and etc.

Gold - 100,000 units
Platinum - 1,000,000 units

Its different in each country.
A country like Poland has a hard time having its artists sell 1 million to be considered "platinum" or 500k for it to be considered "gold". So its lowered.

But for the U.S. 500k = gold and 1mill = platinum.
