the episodes have been building to something so far, but most of the time it seems like filler; most of the time it's attitude and all that with no major moves being made - in fact, what is it that tony and the crew are doing now adays? sitting around talking about vito. so what? last season was the bomb because you had tony's cousin stirring up doo doo and his family falling apart, so you wanted to know what was going on..after t getting shot this season it seems to fall flat and theres only 3 episodes left..boo.
This has been fucking excellent so far. People need to get it through their heads that Sopranos is not a show that actually has a real point, or goes 'somewhere.' It is more a character-driven show that analyses certain themes and then drops nearly all of them. It is plagued by discontinuity, which runs counter to our understanding of orthodox drama, but by embracing that fact it can be truly appreciated for what it is. I am truly loving this season, it is far greater than season 4 and 5. It is dealing with themes, sure people aren't dying, but that will be squeezed into maybe the last episode of this season or it will have to wait until the final season next year, where a bubbling under the surface may erupt and you will look back on it with reverence.
i sure hope that when it erupts it isn't at the last min of the last episode of the season-just to get us to watch the final episodes in jan.
I guess I'm spoiled from shows like nip/tuck that give you alot of drama per episode and continue to hit you over the head with shock value for a season. this season really - nothing has happened. we are still finding out what everyone is up to after a year being gone and the season is nearly done? get outta here. nothing 's happening with uncle jr.
vito was gay way back a few season's back so that's nothing new and theres really no direction for the crew. i hope they make up for it in the next few shows..and pauly better not die either..thats my BOY!

well i wouldnt go so far as to say it sucks this season, but so far i'm clueless as to where it's heading. in previous seasons there have been ongoing stories that have been built up throughout the season, but so far this year its been all over the place, no real cohesive story at all, only the Vito plotline which they keep dragging on. so far i have been disappointed, i expected more for the final season. all i can hope for is some kind of turnaround in the last few episodes, cuz as of right now, i really dont know where this season is going
i dont think it sucks so far, it did start off a little clouded but its comin together now, some fucked up shit is gonna happen, 3 episodes left for this season, vito's probably gonna go to the feds , chris is moving up got the house but on the other hand hit up the needle, somethings gonna happen with aj for sure, they keep showin those arab cats like somethings gonna happen, now theres bobby's beef with pauly, with janice in paulys ear and prostrate cancer gonna drive pauly crazy, and who the fuck trusts phil from nyc... nobody

well if you want to call it that, it wont be the same thing as the way the seasons of the show have been tho. from my understanding, each episode will revolve around a specific storyline with a certain character (although i'm not 100% sure on that), it wont be a continuous plotline throughout the "season" therefore its not really considered a new season. but if you want to get technical about it, then i guess you're right
well for a last season we the fans are getting robbed . i was listening to the radio and the guy that plays 'phil' was on. he said they are still filming that last few episodes, and vito is still on set..so i guess that means nothing super major is going to happen to him. secondly there was a report out there on the main creator of sopranos and he's saying that he'll just spin this off into full length movies after the series has met it's end..so there really isnt any definate ending..just something to put a cap on the stories we already know..which will continue this cash cow forever...
