Technology software for recording vocals

i need some software that can compress vocals as theyre being recorded. any ideas?

What do you mean, size wise or vocal EQ compression?

Regardless, I say Pro Tools is the best. Size wise you can bounce as MP3. EQ wise you can either apply compression after it has been recorded to each individual track or you can set up a bus channel with the compression set to it so it compresses on the fly as you record; which if you worded your question correctly thats what youre after.
