Soda vs. Pop

^ (Vaudeville) Well what do you call them when you refer to them generically? I call them by their names too unless there's no specific one I'm referring to.

Oh, and I ordered a "cola" and a restaurant once and got made fun of for it. I've gotten tired of ordering a "Coke" and being asked, "We don't have Coke. Is Pepsi alright?" OF COURSE IT IS.

haha yeah cola doesnt sound good either. I just say Coke and they always ask the same shit "pepsi ok?" like you say It's obvious it's ok, they are basically the same thing.

I just say the brand name. A lot of people here in England say pop though. No one here says soda. Soda means something else here, it's like some shit you put in your dishwasher or something.
