and I'm still writing my first college essay that is due in 4 hours and 20 minutes. At this point, you really don't care what you say, as long as you finish it and get the chance to have at least 2-3 hours of sleep. Anyway, I was thinking...

What constitutes an all-nighter? I guess if it's not dark outside anymore, than you just pulled an all-nighter, right? Or is there like a time limit? Or like, if you go to sleep at any given time, you're cheating? You didn't really pull the all-nighter then?

Damn, what a stupid question.

I'm not going to procrastinate anymore.

^^ Yeah, procrasination is a bad idea. I've stayed up many late nights doing essay's and projects at the last minute. StreetHop is the best place to be in between procrassination tho :thumb:

To kinda answer your question, I guess you would have to stay up past your normal bed time until the time your usually awake by to call it an "all-nighter".

All nighters in my book are a full pull through the night with no sleep, and no sleep catching up till at least 12 noon the next day.

hmm i dont know if this would be an all nighter but tuesday i woke up from a nap that i always take after class around 3":30pm, went in to take my lab exam at 1am, right after that i had to get together with some guys from a group project and that went on until about 6am, went home layed down and got about 20 mins of sleep and got up at 7am to get ready for school. sat through presentations all morning, took an exam then went home around noonish to finally get my ass some real sleep

If one chooses to live a nocturnal life he pulls all-nighters daily?

Nope.

All nighter = extending your normal awake time with at least 12 hours, preferably 24.

its when u start studying at like 9pm, dont sleep and go to class at 9am per example and write your test or whatever.
