So I Ran Out Of Gas This Morning

On my way to work on a highway, I managed to get it out of the way and on to the side. Had no choice but get my bro off work and fill a Gas can enough to get me to the nearest Station. Ended up being 2 hours late for work. I was careless and didn't notice I was runnin on empty. But i've learned from this, always fill up when car is 3/4 empty. Thankfully there was no damage to my fuel pump and the mechanical & electrical components did not overheat.

Anyone else been in a situation like this before?

I have come close but thankfully I have this annoying sound that comes on when I am running low, so I am always aware that its time to fill up.

I have never ever ran out of gas. Never have and probably never will. I know what can happen when you run out of gas and this is one of them.

The funny thing is I felt the same way before this morning. Like how stupid can one be to let his vehicle run out of gas and not notice? Good thing my buddy doesnt know about this after i laughed my ass off at him when his car ran out of gas in a drive through a couple of months back

But yeah i to don't think it could ever happen, even when i was broke i would steal gas and shit, no way im runnin out. Plus my car tells me how many miles until i run out so if i'm running low i plan accordingly.

that sucks. its happened to me before. i was riding my minibike from the park when i ran out of gas. i had to push that bitch home to get some oil and than go to the gas station to get gas (since i got to mix oil and gas to run it, its 2 stroke).

wtf? where do you live? Over here they got about 5 cameras at every gas station. The possibility of escaping after filling up without paying is zero.

I live in a big city too, you got to venture out and go to those cheap little gas places, like holes in the walll places and they got nothing. Just places that aren't franchised you can say. I've only done it a couple of times when i had no choice, no big deal, but yeah.

my bro works at a gas station, he ses he has bout 3 fill and book every day, at first he tried to stop them but now he doesnt even care, and he works for Canadian Tire Gas station which is franchised, its so easy to steal gas ther tho

It happened to me a couple of times. Since I got my car last August, it happened about 4 times, because my gas gauge doesn't work. So, what I would do is measure the miles on my trip-o-meter thingy. I would fill up the gas tank and be sure that I have enough gas for at least 200 miles. But, that didn't work because it stopped on me a couple of times. Now, I fill it up when it just hits the 100 mark, playin it safe.
