It's called "giveit2me". the first track from my solo project, this is independant of what I do with Swami, although DJ Swami will be producing one or two tracks for my solo album. This track was produced by his brother, Simon "Subs" Duggal.

Would like to know what all you guys think as you know me. Well, if talking to people online constitutes 'knowing' them.

Thanks Gotti and Harris. Glad you like it.

Gotti - Who is/are Twang? Doesn't ring a bell.

i allready told you what i thought of that track... it's straight.. lemme know if you need some publicity here in chicago.... i could just mail an anonymous package to local stations... ;)

i like it. not my genre of music but i like it. funky and catchy :)

Thanks guys. I love that some of you said that its not your type of music but you still like it and can jam it, even though this is essentially a hip-hop song and we're on a hip-hop board. That's exactly the response I wanted and was what I had in mind, and still have in mind for the whole of my album.

People that have to put things in categories and boxes would define me as a hip-hop artist, but I'm a lot more than that, with funk, rock, and reggae influences. So, essentially what I'm trying to do with this project is make a hip-hop album that's as far away from your atypical, generic hip-hop album as possible - kind of like what Andre3000 did with "The Love Below" but even more eclectic than that.

T-Dog, that sounds like a good plan... got anything specific in mind? Chicago is one place where I don't have many contacts.

well, maybe im gettin a little ahead of myself here... but i can start off small by throwing it indian kids that i know... chicago isnt exactly indian-free.... i figured i'd start with them first before i give em to "the others".... cuz indian kids here eat anything up that's indian... indian music, indian comics (russel peters)... so it should be relatively easy....

and yeah, B96 is chicago's hottest radio station (that's what their commercial said ;) ) and so i could always tell them to give it a turn...

if you're willing, send me a copy of your cd or some... and i'll just start handing out free copies.. gotta start off somewhere...

good shit man.. different, but i respect that. But the problem with hip hop fans these days is alot of em are afraid of soaking in anything different. But keep doing ya thing, hip hop is still alive to me cuz of the artists that are willing to be creative and not do the same old watered down shit over and over again.

Those children voices saying Bring it back are annoying though. Its like the voices on Dont Stop The Music OG. which are very annoying.

exactly what I wanted to say. I don't really listen to that music, but I'll play that song once more right now, ;)
