Snoop hit with $250,000 lawsuit

Snoop Dogg has been hit with a $250,000 lawsuit, adding to the mounting period of legal trouble for the rapper.

The lawsuit is in regard to his football endeavour – the Snoop Youth Football League Foundation (SYFLF) – which is in hot water after inking two separate deals offering exclusive rights to the footage and consequent distribution of various projects which involve the SYFLF and the rapper.

A company called Natural Resources entered a $100,000 agreement for the footage and rights to the DVD, pay-per-view and cable distribution despite a similar standing agreement with 20th Century Fox.

When 20th Century Fox found out about the second agreement they sent a written warning to Natural Resources and its affiliates. 20th Century Foxare currently developing a film, Coach Snoop, featuring the rapper, Mark Gibson and Philip Halprin; consequently, their position is that any other television project breaches their initial rights.

According to the lawsuit Natural Resources were planning to distribute footage of the annual ‘Snooperbowl’ as well as events prior to the championship.

No comment has been released from SYFLF or Snoop Dogg.
