A member of popular Def Jam rapper Young Jeezy’s label Corporate Thugz was shot in an Atlanta restaurant Saturday. Slick Pulla was reportedly hit at close range after arguing with an intoxicated man who was harassing customers at Slice, a popular spot for Atlanta’s music industry elite.
Pulla was admitted to Grady Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition. Another Coporate Thugz artist was shot and killed last May. Pookie Loc AKA Henry Clark III was killed by rapper Gucci Mane during what Mane called an ambush by Clark and others.
Young Jeezy made the news in November when education officials and anti-drug campaigns raised a fuss about his "Snowman" t-shirts. Schools in New York and Florida began banning the shirts when it became common knowledge that the figure represents cocaine dealers.
In November Jeezy’s child support payments were spiked from $178 per month to $1,400 after his son’s mother Tynesha Dykes filed suit in October suggesting the rapper’s income had increased dramatically since the original 2001 ruling.
