I saw it earlier today, and as a fan of the graphic novels I couldn't be happier with the end result.

It's truly an amazing picture, I encourage everyone to see this, you shouldn't be dissapointed.

I however did hear people say "this makes no sense" so if you go and see and are confused (some how) the stories do interwine with characters from the other stories, but take place at different times.

The stories appear in this order.

The Customer Is Always Right (Josh Hartnett & Marley Shelton)
That Yellow Bastard (Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Nick Stahl, Michael Madsen & Powers Boothe)
The Hard Good-Bye (Mickey Rourke, Jaime King, & Elijah Wood)
The Big Fat Kill (Clive Owen, Benicio Del Torro, Rosario Dawson, Brittany Murphy, Alexis Bledel & Michael Clarke Duncan)
That Yellow Bastard Continued.

This is an extradornary piece of work. Best comic book adaption Yet.

I have 2 agree with you, cept 4 the last line....but yea, this movie was extrordinary. Nothing like i've ever seen before. The cinematography was amazing and some of the concepts for the scenes were very creative. Great Great stuff......everybody should def. go see this pictures.

fine then some ppl wont like the movie i'm sure if you dont mind it all in black and white then cool,also its story lines that are individual so it might bore you its over a 2 hour movie which is pretty cool and believe me when i tell you the rated r for this movie is every bit as honest as they say....nudity and violence and gore....

With only a few exceptions, every character in the movie is a psychopath, complete with a killing and/or torture fetish and the expected lack of remorse. And 90% of the female characters are strippers or prostitutes.

it's sin city...the title of the comic book says it all...don't expect something intelecutal but it's still a great movie!
